Hi! I am Jane. :)

My photography journey began when I walked the streets of Melbourne seeking to find and capture the magic of urban life. I discovered that there is an intriguing story in everyone, in all places. I have travelled to countries including Italy, Turkey, Morocco, UK and China documenting the people and culture there. Those travels abroad and my everyday photo walks have really inspired me to explore and get to know our world with a curious eye, an open mind and a compassionate heart. I believe that there is always beauty in the seemingly ordinary everyday elements.

I am currently working as a unit still and promotional photographer for various film and television production companies. Recent productions I have worked on include Bad Behaviour, The Newsreader, Wentworth, Shayda, Deadloch, The Clearing and Turn Up the Volume. With many years of experience as a documentary photographer, I have gained excellent skills in observing the visual elements of a scene such as light, form, colour, and in capturing the most emotive and meaningful moments. I am always looking for that one frame that portrays the heart of the story. I bring my absolute best to every production, and I really enjoy working with the cast and crew to bring a story to life.

I am very grateful that over the years, my work has been exhibited in USA, Malaysia and Australia, and has won awards in Australian Photography Awards and International Photography Awards. Publications that have featured my work include Black and White Photography Magazine, El Mundo and the recently published book Women Street Photographers
